Madrid, a very vibrant city, in the middle of Spain has a lot to offer. From impressive architecture, cozy restaurants, a rich history and a breathtaking Santiago Bernabéu (stadium of Real Madrid). It’s all worth a visit. But how many days/nights do you need to visit Madrid. Find out below.
Citytrip to Madrid – How many days needed?
To get a good picture and to really discover what Madrid has to offer, we advise you to take at least 4 full days to spend in the city. If you don’t have that much time, you can see a lot in less days. But to really get to know the city, you’ll need 4 full days. In these 4 days, you shouldn’t include the transportation from and to the airport.
What’s the best period to visit Madrid?
All year round Madrid is really buzzing. A lot of citizen from the city try to leave during the summer periods (July and August). In these months the temperature can rise above 30 degrees. During our trip to Madrid in July, we had a temperature of 38 degrees at 6pm. So we wouldn’t recommend, if you have the possibility, to go there during the summer months.
The best period to visit Madrid is during spring and autumn (May – June & September – October). During these months you’ll still have nice temperatures and less chance on rain.
Where is Madrid located?
Taking a trip to Madrid, but not really sure where it’s located? No worries. Madrid , the capital city and the biggest city of Spain, is in the center of the country. You can take the airplane and land at the Barajas Airport. If your already in Spain or another European country, you can also take the train.
